However, like other dog breeds, this aspect of their personality may not appeal to you, if you are looking for a more guest friendly dog. This breed has a high energy level and strong territorial instincts, which are other aspects to consider. A slow lifestyle is not ideal, as they have a tendency to get a bit overweight. For this reason, they require daily exercise and space to expend that energy. Mental exercise is another very important factor to take into account. Despite their strong personality and characteristics, Rottweilers are highly recommended as guardians and protectors.
